Servicing Schedule

Regular vehicle inspection can extend car life. The reason for this is simple defects are found before they become catastrophic.

A small investment in routine servicing, plus a good inspection programme results in a good return on that investment.

 

   
  Stage 1 - Pre-Service


Visual check of The Vehicles Exterior
Check if all Wheel Trims are in place
Fit protective Seat Covers and Floor Mats

 

  Stage 2 - Road Test


Check Engine performance noise
Check Gearbox operation / noise
Check Differential / noise - If applicable
Check Wheel Bearing / CV Joint noise
Check Steering / pull / vibration
Check Clutch for slip / judder

 

  Stage 3 - Inside Car


Check Head / Side / Stop Lights
Check all Ancillary Lights
Check Indicators / Hazard / Fog / Reverse Lights
Check Washers / Wipers and Horn
Check Handbrake / Footbrake travel
Check Brake Servo for operation

 

 Stage 4 - Under Bonnet


Check / Report the condition of Battery / Alternator / Starter
Replace Spark Plugs (On selected models) *
Check Clutch Cables / Cylinder for wear
Drain Engine Oil
Change Oil Filter
Replace Engine Oil *
Check Fan Belt (adjust if neccessary)
Check Washer Bottle Fluid and top up with Screen Wash / Mixture
Check Brake Fluid and top up if neccessary
Replace Fuel Filter (Diesel only subject to mileage)
Replace Air filter
Check Cooling System for leaks
Top up Cooling System if neccessary *
Check Anti-Freeze strength
Grease Battery Terminals

* Additional charges for special oils and spark plugs.

 

 Stage 5 - Under Car


Check Steering / Joints / Gaiters
Check Suspension Front and Rear
Check Shock Absorbers Front and Rear
Check Wheel Bearings
Check Tyres for Wear/Damage
Check Tyre pressure including spare
Check Tracking
Check Exhaust
Check Wheel Balance and report
Check Drive Shaft Couplings and Joints
Check under body corrosion
Check Gearbox Oil Level and top up where neccessary
Lubricate Nipples / Joints where necessary

 

 Stage 6- Wheels Off


Check any reported Brake faults given by customer
Check Brake Pads and Discs for wear
Check Brake Shoes and Drums for wear
Check Wheel Cylinders for wear / seizure
Check Calipers for wear / seizure
Check Brake Pipes / Hoses for leaks / wear
Check adjust Brakes as necessary

 

 Stage 7 - Cam Belt

Check service interval recommended by the vehicle manufacture. Advise on replacemnet if necessary.
 Stage 8 - Recommendations  


Advise on any additional work required to bring the vehicle upto the manufacturers age/mileage service schedule.
